Skin Cancer Prevention
Skin cancer can be prevented. Here are some of the sun protection measures:
- Reduce exposure to sunlight between 10am and 2pm (11am to 3pm during daylight saving).
- Slip on clothes that cover arms and legs
- Wear a broad brimmed hat that gives shadow for face, neck and ears.
- Slop on broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply every 2 hours
- Wear close fitting sunglasses.
- Seek shade whenever possible.
- Avoid suntanning, using a solarium or getting sunburnt.
Most importantly, check your skin regularly for any new or unusual spots.
